How does a customer open a pickup locker?
With the PIN or QR code sent in their order-ready notification. Staff load the order, assign a door, and the system sends the code through your ordering platform (via API or webhook) or by SMS in standalone mode. Enter the code or scan at the keypad and the door releases.
Do pickup lockers work with my online ordering system?
Northline lockers expose a simple open API and webhooks, so any ordering platform, custom app, or even a spreadsheet-driven workflow can assign doors and issue codes. They also run standalone with staff-entered codes if you want zero integration work on day one.
Can lockers keep food hot?
Yes. Our heated configuration holds each compartment at food-safe temperature with individually insulated doors, built for restaurant takeout and delivery-driver handoff. Ambient configurations suit retail, pharmacy, and parcel use.
