What happens to a smart lock when the power or internet goes out?
Northline locks run on batteries (typically 6 to 12 months per set) and store codes and schedules locally, so they keep working with no internet. Every model also keeps a physical key cylinder as a final fallback. You lose remote management during an outage, never the door.
Can I give each employee their own code and remove it later?
Yes. Each person gets an individual code, badge, or fingerprint, optionally restricted to a schedule such as weekdays 8am to 6pm. When someone leaves, revoke their credential from the app in seconds, with no locksmith and no re-keying.
Are NFC employee badges secure?
Yes. Our badge systems use encrypted NFC credentials, not the older cloneable 125kHz cards. Badges cannot be duplicated at a kiosk, lost badges are revoked instantly, and every tap is logged with a name and timestamp.
