About Northline

We sell the boring boxes that keep businesses running.

Northline started with a simple observation: buying hardware for a business is unnecessarily hostile. Payment companies subsidize registers to lock you into their processing rates. Camera brands hold your own footage hostage behind subscriptions. Printer compatibility is a coin flip. And the person selling to you is usually paid to not care.

So we built the store we wanted to buy from. A tight catalog of commercial-grade devices, every one standards-based and subscription-free. Straight answers about what works with what. Prices that do not hide a monthly fee. And a spec consult from a human who will tell you when the cheaper option is the right one.

Today we outfit restaurants, retailers, warehouses, clinics, and offices across the country, from a single receipt printer to complete multi-location rollouts.

How we operate

Four principles, no poster on the wall.

01

Hardware should outlive the software fad

Standards over ecosystems. Every device we sell speaks open protocols (ESC/POS, ONVIF, standard drivers), so when you change software in three years, the hardware stays.

02

Owning beats renting

Subscriptions make sense for software, not for a camera on your wall or a printer on your counter. We design our catalog so nothing stops working when a payment stops.

03

Selling less is a strategy

We would rather talk you out of a kiosk you do not need than lose you as a repeat customer. Our spec consults routinely reduce order sizes, on purpose.

04

Support is presales for the next order

Real humans, same-day answers, advance replacement on warranty claims. Businesses do not have time for ticket queues while a register is down.

Talk to a human about your setup.

Tell us what you run and what is going wrong. We will spec the exact hardware that fits, confirm compatibility with your software, and flag anything you do not need. Free, and answered within one business day.
